Dear Don,
My drum of the dawn arrived, I put it on the stand, and started playing.
(It all arrived in perfect condition, by the way). I'm sure it's just a
coincidence, but a few hours later the first rain Arizona has seen in 140 days
began coming down. Like I say, I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but to the
extent that it's not, to the extent this drum is a rainmaker, the entire State of
Arizona extends its thanks to you for your craftsmanship.
I am just enormously happy to share a house with this beautiful entity. And
it's definitely mine, it was waiting to me, so this was all meant to be.
Thank you for your craftsmanship, for your hard work, for your honor and
honesty. I will treasure this drum forever. And I'll hopefully see you next year
at Pantheacon.
Take care,
Liz
Hi,
I recently purchased a lovely drum from you at
Panethacon, a Compass Rose with a lovely tone and
boom. Sadly, after a couple of days at home, when I
removed it from the bag to play it, there was no boom,
only a dull thunk.. I think the stretch has gone out
of it due to a different climate.. perhaps not enough
moisture?? Is there something I can do to return my
drum to its original lustre?
Please help, I am hoping to use this drum in an
upcoming house blessing.
Blessed Be,
Patricia
Thanks Don,
Your advice was right on. Drum sings well now..
great spot over heater, and a quick moment on the wood
stove for emergencies works great too. Thanks for
your help. I love the drum.
Be Well,
Trish
